Unreal Engine 5

Rig a Sport Bike in Blender – UE5 Chaos Motorcycle | Part 1

Rig a motorcycle’s steering, forks, suspension, swingarm, and shock absorber in Blender.

About this tutorial

Welcome to my Chaos Motorcycle series! In this tutorial, we rig a sport bike inside Blender, fully prepped for Unreal Engine 5. We build the complete skeleton from scratch — steering, forks, suspension, everything — so it moves like a real motorcycle once it hits the Chaos Vehicle system.

  • Build the full bone hierarchy — steering, front forks, rear swingarm, and shock absorber
  • Set up two rear suspension bones for realistic linked movement
  • Weight paint the spring with opposing gradients for natural compression
  • Assign and verify every mesh to its matching bone

By the end, your sport bike has a clean, game-ready rig with proper suspension, steering, and weight-painted springs — ready to import into Unreal Engine and drive with Chaos Vehicle.
